Geisha Tea Time

In a hanamachi surrounded by cherry blossoms, lived Yukiko, a geisha.

Although Yukiko is not this hanamachi's best geisha, she has however a loyal patron.
She met him before she was sold to the hanamachi  and his name is Akuma.
He was her childhood friend, who happens to be the illegitimate son of a wealthy merchant.
When the merchant's son died, he took Akuma to be his heir.

Akuma visits Yukiko often.
Yukiko performs a traditional tea ceremony for him on these visits.

She would also perform the art of origami folding.

Akuma always looks attentively.

Sometimes, Yukiko would get shy and ask her "big sisters" to help.

After a few words of encouragement, Yukiko gets more confident.

On odd days, Akuma would be quite tired and not pay Yukiko much attention.
This irritates her a bit and she pretends to be mad at him.

When this happens, he pretends to run away from her and she chases after him.

Their little farce ends with Yukiko giving him a little scolding and Akuma trying to appease her.
Funny thing is that he always succeeds with appeasing her and the visit ends there.

Today however is quite special since Akuma whispered something to Yukiko's ear.
"They have agreed to my terms, you will be able to retire in three days time."
Yukiko gives him a meaningful smile, "I look forward to a life with you."
