Welcome to the Green Duchy.
The home of the duke's daughter, lady Ophia.
Lady Ophia is popular in the land and has a big number of suitors.
Her most avid suitor is Prince Orpheus, the neighboring kingdom's first prince.
Ophia hasn't seen Orpheus in a while and has come to miss him but she is quite shy to say so.
Orpheus, a gentleman, gives Ophia time to gather herself while he chats with household staff.
Ophia, now more confident, approaches their bookkeeper and beckons Orpheus to come.
The three have a nice chat about the duchy's economic situation.
Everything went smoothly and so Ophia invites Orpheus for a snack.
He obliges but insists that he recites her a poem before he partakes the food.
Immensely touched by his poetry, Ophia is brought to tears.
"Oh, no!" Orpheus sighs as he didn't mean to bring tears unto her eyes.
"I'm sorry." Orpheus consoles apologetically.
"Why are you apologizing? You have made beautiful poetry that touches the soul." Ophia replied sternly. "We're your sentiments untrue?"
"Not in the least. As I have said in my poem, I will gladly throw away my crown and be a farmer; I will raise chickens and cows; I will sow cow dung into the fields if it means I could be with you." Orpheus declares haughtily.
Ophia giggles after hearing his words.
Her old nursemaid smiles thinking that they are getting along so well.
"Well then, my love, I have to return to my country. Next time, I see you, it will be our wedding day. It seems that your King has approved your engagement to me. Please accept this bouquet to remember me by, I will send a fresh one everyday so you do not forget."
